Venice Effect Senior Guard is defined in the Midwest Color Guard Circuit as a competitive guard, but our focus is the individual and the experience of winter guard.


Although the staff of Venice Effect Senior Guard does look at the scores and utilizes judges critique to improve the program, we encourage our cast members to remember that our goal is to enjoy the experience of winter guard and to put on a great show for the audiences and be role models for the younger generation of winter guard.


Venice Effect Senior Guard is adjudicated based on the sheets for the WGI Independent World Class. We accept that our scores will be lower than traditional guards in the Independent World Class and are grateful for the comments and scores given to us by the judges. We accept and appreciate being held to a higher standard and are proud of the marks we are given.
